a. Imperative sentences

Imperative sentence is a sentence that expresses instruction, warning, command, request, or invitation. There are two main categories: positive and negative imperative sentences.

In positive imperative, we use the base verb.

Example:

“Collect the organic rubbish!”

It means we want someone to collect the rubbish. The negative imperative sentences tell someone not to do something.
